Supreme GT PS1 Alpha Build Prototype Demo Review

Supreme GT PS1 Alpha Build
This ps1 demo prototype build was of a game by the name of supreme gt that was in development during the late stages of 1996 and into 1997 that was scheduled for release on the PlayStation.

There is very little information online regarding this prototype build but it was a game that was currently being worked on and due to unforeseen circumstances or genuine reasons that the game development process was cancelled.

So this version of the game is an alpha build of the game, now you only get to play as one track and you have access to one car but with the demo build you can also gain access to a unique car viewer version so that you can go into a separate mode and just view the model of the car that you're racing as.

Now when you go to race as the car in the game you don't have all those textures and it doesn't have all those elements so you just play with a just standard unfinished version of the car. But the game is playable, it has all the sound effects of a race car and you can drive and handling mechanics are quite decent for what's on offer.

Now it's not without its flaws because again it's quite unfinished, there are instances on the track where you come across other cars that are just sitting in a standpoint and you have to move around them because if you go near them at all you will get stuck in amongst them so sometimes you might even have to reset the game in order to keep playing but you can work around that by moving around them off the track itself to get around them.

And there are demo builds of the game that have been released online so if you do go looking for it you can find them and you can test it out if you use emulators to play your ps1 games.

You can definitely go and check it out and it's a fun way to get to play very early versions of games that were in development even though they never got released. I have covered previous games of other demo builds that were also currently being worked on during the PlayStation's lifespan that never got released also.

I will make sure to leave a link to a playlist below in the description so you can go and check those videos out.

And it's just an interesting way to see these types of games and it is playable you can play the entirety of the track that is available even though it's relatively unfinished but it does have a lot of textures both on the track layouts and even in the environments around even on the walls, the forestry and even some of the cliff tops along the side of the road.

You can change some of the different camera angles that can go to like an almost kind of cinematic camera even to like a behind third-person perspective and even first person like a bonnet-style view of the car.

So you can get it to see and play the game from different viewpoints which is pretty cool now there's no real lapse in terms of how long you can play the game so you can just keep playing the game for as long as you want to and you can drive the track in normal mode or you can just turn around and just drive it in reverse if you want to.

It really just depends on what you want to do yourself when you're playing it but it is a cool way to get to play these types of games that were in the process of being developed and it's just a pity a lot of these games didn't get to see the light of day as they would have been interesting concepts all the same.

But I'd love to know your thoughts on this demo build for the PlayStation and have you managed to see anything about it or even experience anything about it so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it so be sure to share down in the comments below and be sure to keep watching to see more content on other games similar to Supreme GT, you can check out the blog where we will be diving into the iconic elements of these classic video games and as always keep those gaming memories alive...
